VIC HERNANDEZ OVER JOHN WALLS IN PRO FINALS
Vic Hernandez (El Paso) took out John Walls (Chaparral, NM) in the final round. John Walls had the advantage on the reaction time, .505 to Vics .567, but didn't cut the lead down enough at the finish line as he broke out with an 11.948 on an 11.96. Vic Took the win in his Corvette with a 9.126 on a 9.09 dial in.
RODNEY WARD OVER ANDREW JARAMILLO IN MODIFIED FINALS
Congratulations
to Andrew Jaramillo (Las Cruces) for making it to the Finals for his very
first time! I have a feeling this is the first for many to come. Unfortunately
for Andrew he had to race Rodney Ward (Wilcox, AZ) who definately was
not in his first Final round. Andrew ran a perfect pass, but caught a
.663 light compared to Wards .531. It was a race decided on reaction times.
George Aguilar made it to the semi's, who took me out in the fourth round
and took my dad (George Martin) out in the first round. George Aguilar
is a tough veteran racer, but don't worry George, the Martin's will get
payback, at least we hope! There was also a maroon Mustang/Capri in the
semi's, but I failed to get his name. Sorry "Mustang Dude" !
