Arroyo
Seco June 22 - page 2
Mark and Judy Shoeppner said a few thank you's and good byes as he introduced
the new owner Roger Heemsbergen. Thanks Mark for building us a great
track to race at!
If
you look through all of that smoke really close - somewhere in there you
can barely see Gordy King Jr. - Nice!
Billy Graham paid out $100 bucks to both Pro and Modified winners! Gordy
King Jr. and Nacho Nolasco both had a Hot Rod Connection decal
on the front fender and it paid off! Billy is doing this all season, so
put a sticker on it!

Eddie
Cordero, who won Arroyo June, made it to the semi finals moving
him into the top spot in SDRA's Modified Points. Ray Villreal is now in
the number 2 spot.
Jaime
Maguregui in the far lane made a strong showing in this race
as well making it down to the last 6 cars- but lost to Eddie.
Robert Z., of El Paso, made a few time only passes
in his Mustang. He recently finished up the car with a new 347 with Canfield
heads backed up with a 4 Speed Jerrico. The little 347 went an 11.00 with
no bottle - all motor! He's still working the bugs out so it's easily
a 10 second car - especially when it's not near 110 degrees! And
this is on a little 28 x 9" slick!
Rodney
Ward? Nope. This twisted wicked launching truck is John
Figart, of Cruces! He had the little blue bottle of Whup Ass
hooked up and the truck launched hard. John has got this truck in the
low 12's on the bottle.
PSST!
Watch out for an old pruple Chevy truck later this summer at Dezert Demonz!
The
Dash For Cash was won by this girl who just turned 16 and got her Driver's
License last week! Yep, 19 Racers including myself, lost to a 16 year
old girl! Watch out street class.
The Shirt says it all!
Tony Leyba is getting better and more consistant lights every race. Don't
be suprised to see him in the finals.
